Blairsville's Underground Railroad Historical Center

Graphic Design Portfolio piece: Tri-fold brochure about Blairsville's Underground Railroad Historical Center.

This portfolio piece is a tri-fold brochure for Blairsville's Underground Railroad Historical Center (UGRHC). This piece was created using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I personally illustrated all the of drawn elements although every picture was found online. Blairsville’s URHC is a historical center that details local and state-wide history, particularly focusing on the underground railroad pre-emancipation. There are historical dates and locations mentioned in this brochure as well as the address of the historical center. This portfolio piece was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe products as well as celebrate my hometown.

Steel City Martial Arts

Graphic Design Portfolio piece: Ad Campaign that features a magazine advertisement, an informational booklet, and a billboard.

This portfolio campaign for Steel City Martial Arts (SCMA) that consists of 3 pieces; a booklet, a magazine advertisement, and finally a billboard design. This campaign was created using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I personally illustrated all drawn elements although every picture was found online. Steel City Martial Arts is a health and wellness center that promotes confidence and self defense through martial arts. In the booklet there are detailed explanations of each course they teach at SCMA as well as a picture of the instructor so you know who your training with. The magazine advertisement is designed to both inform the reader they missed important information as well as advertise SCMA. The billboard design was created to capture people’s attention with the unique style and additional die-cut. This portfolio campaign was assigned to me as a college project but I was able to show my proficiencies in Adobe products as well as celebrate local businesses.

Four Footed Friends

This portfolio piece is a newsletter for Four Footed Friends located in Indiana, Pennsylvania. This piece was created using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I personally illustrated all the of drawn elements although every picture was found online. Four Footed Friends (FFF) is an animal shelter found in Indiana, Pennsylvania that primary focuses care on household pets such as cats and dogs. In this newsletter there are tentative events and dates for summer actives relating to animal care and enrichment. This portfolio piece was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe Products as well as celebrate local businesses close to my hometown.

Iron Alley Saloon

This portfolio campaign was for Iron Alley Saloon that consists of 3 pieces; a booklet, a stationery package, and a billboard design. This campaign was created using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I personally illustrated all drawn elements although every picture was found online. Iron Alley Saloon is a western themed bar and grill located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. In the booklet there are detailed explanations of the revised logo I created, the proper way to display the logo on different objects, as well as an explanation of each stationery design. The stationery package itself consists of 3 designs; A newsletter template, an envelope design, and business cards for the staff or company. The billboard design was created to capture people’s attention with the unique style and additional die-cut. The subject of this portfolio campaign was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe products as well as celebrating my hometown.

Knotweed Festival

This portfolio piece is a website for the annual Knotweed Festival located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. This piece was created using adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and DreamWeaver. I personally coded the website and illustrated the drawn elements, but unfortunately every picture used was found online. The Knotweed Festival is an annual festival located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania to celebrate local artisans, shops, restaurants, politics, and the overall local community. On this website there are 5 different pages, with each page detailing something different such as; tentative activities at the upcoming festival, staff members and volunteers who make the festival a reality, an application process if you wish to volunteer, and some local history on why there are annual summer festivals. This portfolio piece was created to show my proficiencies in coding as well as celebrate local history and community in my hometown.

Tomorrows Cartoon - Robo-Boy Jaime

Graphic Design Portfolio piece: Ad campaign that features a commercial style animation, a social media aniamtion, and a information video about the original company Tomorrow's Cartoons.

This portfolio campaign was created for an original company known as Tomorrows Cartoons (TC) and consists of 3 pieces; a landscape animation, a social media animation, and an animated video detailing the fake history of Tomorrows Cartoons. This campaign was created using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premier Pro. I personally illustrated all drawn elements and composited each picture. TC is a fabricated company that I created specifically for this campaign. This company would share independently created online animations and videos through their video-sharing platform. The landscape animation is most similar to a commercial advertisement or bumper, informing the audience on what the upcoming video is. The social media animation is formatted in a 1:1 aspect ratio and details a fabricated date and time of which a video will air on TC’s site. The animated video is the longest animation of the 3 and it details the fake history of TC and one of their ‘popular’ shows known as Robo-Boy Jaime. The subject of this portfolio campaign was created to show my proficiencies in animation, video editing, and many Adobe products.

Jensen Portable CD Player

This portfolio piece is an online, technical illustration of a Jensen portable CD player created as a college assignment. This piece was created using the adobe product Illustrator. I personally illustrated each detail on the technical drawing, although my reference image was found on the internet. This technical drawing was created in a vector art program, meaning that no matter the zoom the image will continue to stay crisp and not pixelate. This portfolio piece was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe Illustrator.

Graphic Design Portfolio piece: Ad campaign featuring a poster, a website banner, and a social media graphic for Pittsburgh Technical College's Spring 2023 Portfolio show.

This portfolio campaign was for PTC’s Portfolio show and it consists of 3 pieces, a poster, a website banner, and an animation. This campaign was created using Adobe products Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. I personally illustrated all drawn elements and composited ever picture present in the designs. PTC’s Portfolio show is a gathering of all the graduating students from the Graphic Design, Video Production, and Web development programs in order to present their portfolio to family and potential employers. The poster features PTC’s mascot as well as the date, time, and location of the show. The website banner also features PTC’s mascot as well as the date, time, and location but in a horizontal format. The animation begins with PTC’s mascot and then fades into the date, time, and location, all in a square format. The subject of this portfolio campaign was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe products as well as advertising the portfolio show.

A Guide to Pennsylvania Insects

Graphic Design Portfolio piece: original 16 page booklet detailing bugs and insects commonly found in Pennsylvania and the North-Eastern United States.

This portfolio piece is a 16 page booklet that identifies interesting bugs and insects found in Pennsylvania. This piece was created using adobe products such as Photoshop and InDesign. I personally designed this booklet and rewrote material from other guides in order to fill the content of my booklet. The booklet features bugs and insect in the Pennsylvanian and greater North-Eastern region of the United States. There are specific sections detailing bugs such as; beetles, grasshoppers, butterflies, moths, and bees. This portfolio piece was created to show my proficiencies in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign as well as show what I have learned during my college education.
